Get cracking – send us pics of your custom Kawasakis!

We posted an invitation a few days ago to submit photographs of your Kawasaki custom bikes – café racers, street fighters, bobbers and other works of motorcycle art. The link unfortunately became corrupted but has since been sorted out, so please use it to forward good images of your pride and joy to us HERE. gavfos@telkomsa.net

Give us some basic information – what the bike started out as, who it belongs to, who did the work, and where it’s located. We’ll stick all the good ‘uns on our Facebook page and later on the best of the lot will be showcased on this website. You can also send pics of works-in-process. Please make sure the images are of a reasonable resolution – files should be about 350 kb in size to ensure decent quality on screen. Send them HERE (gavfos@telkomsa.net)

We’ve encountered loads of interesting custom Kawasakis on the Internet, some great, many good and a few that have been built on a tiny budget but look interesting. For a video showing just how much work went into the beautifully simplistic café racer built by Stavros from a very tatty version of the humble KZ400 of the ‘80s, see HERE

Then there’s THIS superb Z1 lovingly built by Japanese custom bike manufacturer AC Sanctuary and shown on Bikexif.

Fancy an iconic two stroke triple for your project? You could do a lot worse than look at Tobias Guckel’s amalgam of the 500 H1 triple’s frame and the 750cc H2’s motor on Bikexif’s splendid website.

Look at THIS supercharged Kawasaki H2 digital concept bike by Ulfert Janssen of Gannet Design that, if it’s ever built, will be a show stopper. With no wind protection, they may as well drop the gearing for a top speed of 240 km/h or so and see just how fast it gets off the line.
